Team Manager Timothy McCune

Current Team
Pittsburgh Emperors

Coach Timothy McCune brings two seasons of experience with the Emperors and a lifelong love of hockey. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Pittsburgh, he enjoys coaching kids and seeing the joy the game brings them. Outside of hockey, Timothy is a volunteer firefighter, nonprofit president, web designer, Lyft driver, and home health aide. He loves playing video games and spending time with his two children, Alexander and Brandon, who also play on the team. His advice to young players: Express yourself, keep your head up, and keep on truckin’.

Favorite food

Salmon mostly, but I also enjoy any seafood and venison.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

To be able to touch someone and let them feel the love I have for humanity—or for them personally.

What’s your favorite ice hockey memory?

In the 1990s, I went to get autographs from Mario, Jagr, and other Penguins with my brother-in-law. He got sick, vomited in a Ziploc bag, and tossed it out of the car—where it landed on someone’s front porch. I know it’s disgusting, but I found it funny.

💬 Just for Fun (Great for Team Bonding!)
